Goats

Betsy - the Queen of our place! She's a great mother and has raised twins every year. She yields approximately 5 lbs of hair at every cutting.

Delilah - don't let her size fool you, she actually yielded 6lbs of hair this fall! She raised a beautiful chocolate brown doe kid this year.

Coral - they don't get much better than this. She yields at least 6 lbs of hair every shearing and has had twins every year. All of her buck kids have been kept as herd sires (WL Durango and PLF Dustin). Coral raised twin buck kids for 2009 which are available for sale.

Aspen - One of Betsy's "08 offspring out of Taos that has turned into a very nice doe. She has great hair coverage as well as a nice, heavy fleece.

Cassie - she has been a great addition to our herd. She has some of the finest hair you can ask for in an adult doe. Her '07 buck kid was kept as a herd sire (PLF Draco) and her '09 black doe kid is also available for sale.

My love for goats began when I was growing up on a ranch in west Texas where my family had both registered and commercial herds. Their curious personalities and their ability to produce such a unique fiber won me over. It's been a few years since I've been around them but as soon as I had a chance I took the opportunity to purchase a few of my own. We have enjoyed having them around and watching our kids become very fond of them as well!

Vail - One of Betsy's '08 offspring out of Taos that has also turned into a nice sized doe. She has a beautiful black fleece with silver tips.

Lutsen - My favorite of Coral's buck twins this year. He has an excellent fleece with great hair coverage. If he doesn't sell, I'll keep him as one of my own herd sires.

Itasca - Coral's other buck twin that is a nice sized buck and his color uniformity doesn't get much better. His 2008 full brother (Durango) was sold as a herd sire last year.

Sugar - She's a keeper. Sugar is a true brown out of Delilah and Mufasa and my favorite doe kid this year. Can't wait to see what her future holds!

Marais - She's a single out of Cassie and Mufasa, so another one that has both black and red as her pedigree and will keep you guessing!

Taylor - This girl is bound to produce some nice ones as she is out of Betsy and Mufasa. Having both, red and black in her bloodline there's no telling what she's going to have for offspring!
